9. Information obtained from AIS & RADAR; which is more reliable?
10. Departure port preparations.
11. Main engine failure at sea. What happens to the vessel + action.
(I mentioned I still have my nav. Equipments and steering and then action as usual)
12. Follow up: in what case does your main engine, steering & all nav. Eq. fails?
(Answer: blackout! ) -however powered by emergency generator eventually.
13. Does the E.G. supplies power to both 3cm and 10cm radar?
14. Black out action.
15. Checks assignment.
17. What is GM?
18. Explain the GM of your vessel during arrival to loading port and departure port.

100(T) x 6'
100(T) x 5'
100(T) x 4'
Explain and action.
4. Rule 7
5. Lights of towing vessel
6. visual, AIS or RADAR best for collision avoidance (RADAR supplement with ais)
Pls read DNS 12 ORAL questions
Well, I failed, mainly because I interpreted my radar plot incorrectly
Vsl Hdg: 060(T) and Vsl brg 100(T) So I mentioned it as abaft my beam. was so nervous (literally my mouth was so dry, could not open my mouth).
Also I screwed up the GMT time of Azimuth. Instead of directly converting from LMT - 8= GMT, I did LMT - LIT=GMT.
He specifies the use of electronic equipment o/b a lot. esp AIS and RADAR..So don’t get those equipment wrong. Learn their limitations and benefits.
